MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to The Guardian, the conservatives seeking "soft Brexit," envisaging maintaining close economic ties and cooperation with the European Union, would demand from May to publish "no less than an official pre-legislative white paper."
On Tuesday, May said that the government would publish the Brexit plan before triggering Article 50 of the EU Lisbon Treaty.
On June 23, the United Kingdom chose in a referendum to leave the European Union. May stated that the country would trigger Article 50 by the end of March 2017, thus starting withdrawal negotiations.
