STOCKHOLM (Sputnik) — Danish police tightened security measures near police stations after a policeman was injured in the Danish city of Albertslund to the west of Copenhagen, local media reported on Tuesday.
"This measure is a standard procedure. We have intensified the observation of the police stations until the situation is clear," police spokesman Anders Frandsen told DR Radio.
According to the police, the officer was injured by a gunman early in the morning. No information regarding his condition was provided. A suspect has been reportedly detained, and there have been no reports, regarding the motive of the incident.
A similar attack took place in Copenhagen in August, when two policemen were wounded.
