"The State Duma members strongly condemn the act of the Polish and Ukrainian parliaments and reject the very idea of rewriting history ex post facto and revising the beginning and the results of World War II," the State Duma said in a draft statement, adding that the declaration contradicts international law.
The Russian parliament's lower house also called on the US and UK parliaments to join its statement on the Polish-Ukrainian declaration and to prevent the history from becoming a subject to revision.
The document is expected to be sent to the interparliamentary assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), NATO as well as to the Parliaments of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, the United States and the United Kingdom.
