    Over 50 Arrested in Anti-Drug Operation in Athens - Reports

    Greek police are conducting a large-scale operation against drug traffickers in the capital Athens, over 50 arrests have been made so far, Greek media report.

    ATHENS (Sputnik) – The operation was launched on Friday morning and has already resulted in the arrest of 56 people, most of whom are foreigners, the Proto Thema newspaper said.

    Searches have been carried out in over two dozen homes, where large amounts of money and drugs were found, the newspaper added.

    According to some Greek media reports, police have identified over 100 people involved in illegal drug trafficking in Athens.
