MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the schedule of Sefcovic published by the European Commission on its website, on Friday he will meet with with both Dvorkovich and Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak.
Novak said on Wednesday, he planned to discuss with Sefcovic a range of cooperation issues, including gas transit via Ukraine.
Russian Deputy Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky told reporters on Wednesday that Novak and Sefcovic could also discuss Russian energy giant Gazprom's access to Opal gas pipeline in Germany, which connects the Nord Stream pipeline with Europe’s gas transportation network.
Last time Novak and Sefcovic met on October 11, on the sidelines of the World Energy Congress in Istanbul. The sides discussed the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project, the Opal project, the Nord Stream 2 project and the issue of gas transit via Ukraine.
