EU's Greek Frustration Growing Over Turkey Migration Deal Backlog
BRUSSELS (Sputnik) In a letter to Greek Migration Minister Ioannis Mouzalas, seen by Het Nieuwsblad newspaper on Wednesday, Francken expressed concern that it was only a matter of time when Belgian experts could be seriously injured in incidents with migrants.

Francken also called for a drastic and structural improvement in the security situation at various hotspots, before Belgian experts would be able to return.

According to the media outlet, Francken called on the Greek authorities to hasten the process of sending undocumented migrants back to Turkey or their countries of origin.

The publication reminds that in October refugees from Pakistan and Bangladesh set on fire the headquarters of the European Asylum Support Office on Lesbos due to frustration over slow processing of their asylum applications.

Europe is suffering from a massive migration crisis, trying to find a way to tackle the flow of undocumented migrants. Greece is on the frontline of the refugee crisis, as hundreds of thousands of people arrive in the Balkan state crossing the Mediterranean in order to seek asylum in the European Union.
