Britain has woken up to a world where the 45th President of the United States is Republican, Donald Trump.

The Prime Minister Theresa May has congratulated Mr. Trump, meanwhile Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said the win for the Republican candidate is "an unmistakable rejection of political establishment and economic system that isn't working."

In London, some feel relieved that the US presidential campaign is "over," others however, are "gutted" and "wholly terrified."

"If that's the best candidates they can get, they're a poor country," one Londoner told Sputnik on November 9.
