MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The destabilizing factor of "transit" migration by refugees was also underscored at the FSB Border Guard Service in the West Arctic chief Lt. Gen. Igor Konstantinov's recent meeting with the Norwegian Armed Forces' commander of Joint Headquarters Maj. Gen. Rune Jakobsen in Kirkenes, northeastern Norway.

"Participants of the event agree that the main factor destabilizing the situation on the Russian-Norwegian border is so-called "transit" migration of the citizens of the Middle East into Norway and other countries in Western Europe," the FSB's press service said.

"In this regard, the border agencies should be prepared for possible attempts by international terrorist organizations to use the Russian-Norwegian border to supply weapons and means of terror," it added.
