German Minister Calls for Legal Clarification of Sensitive Issues in CETA Talks
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Merkel described the CETA negotiating process as "intensive and comprehensive," saying that Germany had "only positive experience" with all previously agreed trade accords and always profited from them.

"We have made very good progress on CETA and it looks like we will manage to sign and ratify it," Merkel said at a key national industrial conference in Berlin.

The chancellor then urged to give the TTIP deal with the United States a chance after closed-door talks on it stalled amid concerns about its impact on environmental standards, consumer rights and job security.
