WARSAW (Sputnik) — On Monday, media reported that a Russian national was arrested for illegally flying the drone over Polish prime minister's office, the Defense Ministry and the president's residence.
The man was detained on the allegations of violating Poland's aviation regulations banning the use of drones near governmental buildings, media reported citing Warsaw police spokesman Mariusz Mrozek.
"The Polish authorities informed us that a Russian national had been detained yesterday and that he was charged with violation of the aviation law," Valeria Perzhinskaya said.
The suspect may face up to five years in prison, in accordance with the Polish legislation.
