The Ukrainian authorities approved a draft state budget for 2017 which envisions budget deficit less than three percent of GDP and the GDP growth of three percent.

KIEV (Sputnik) — The Ukrainian Cabinet approved on Thursday a draft state budget for 2017 which envisions budget deficit less than three percent of GDP and the GDP growth of three percent.

The document will be submitted to the parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, for consideration.

According to Ukraine Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, the document says that consolidated budget income of 2017 must reach 876.9 billion hryvnias ($33.3 billion) compared to 749 billion hryvnias ($28.4 billion) in 2016. The budget deficit must account for 77.5 billion hryvnias ($2.9 billion).
