KIEV (Sputnik) – Ceasefire in eastern Ukraine, Kiev granting special status to the Donbass region and conducting local elections are preconditions for the next Normandy Four format meeting, French Foreign Minister Jean Marc Ayrault said Wednesday.
"There are various conditions, of course, which must be fulfilled to reach this goal. First of all, this is about ensuring security. We also noted ceasefire… Another condition of political character is preparation of a draft Ukrainian law on local elections in Donbass, as well as granting this region special status," Ayrault told reporters.
