MOSCOW (Sputnik) — London police on Wednesday detained a person on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism, the UK Metropolitan police said in a statement.
"Detectives from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command have today, Wednesday, 7 September arrested a 44-year-old man from north-west London on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism and dissemination of terrorist publications," the statement said.
The statement added that police detained the man, who was also suspected of "dissemination of terrorist publications" at about 6 a.m. local time (05:00 GMT).

According to the statement, law enforcement officials have raided several residential addresses in the areas near the place near the detention site in northwestern London.
