According to the Russian president, Russia criticized the EU foreign policy, but as for the economy, both the European Commission and the leading European countries are on the right track.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia criticized the EU foreign policy, as the European partners make a lot of mistakes, but as for the economy, both the European Commission and the leading European countries are on the right track, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Friday.

"We, indeed, criticize a lot of things, we believe that our partners make a lot of mistakes, but as for the economy, I reiterate that in my opinion, both the European Commission and the major European economies act very pragmatic, and are on the right track," Putin told the Bloomberg news agency in an interview.

"Regarding what you said about criticism, I criticized the [EU] foreign policy," Putin added.

According to the Russian President, Russia does not have to agree with everything going on in the European Union.
