    An explosion at a mine in Ukraine’s southeastern Donetsk region has led to the injury of six workers.

    DONETSK (Sputnik) – An explosion at a "Pokrovskoye Colliery Group" mine in Ukraine’s southeastern Donetsk region has led to the injury of six workers, the press service of regional police informs.

    "Police was notified that an explosion took place in the air supply trunk #2. As a result, six miners received injuries of varying severity. The wounded miners have been hospitalized," police said in a Thursday statement.

    There were over 240 mine workers at the site when the methane explosion occurred, according to police. All of the miners have been lifted to the surface.

    The details of the accident are being investigated.
