One Dead, Up to Six Injured in London Knife Attack

One woman was killed and up to six people were wounded in central London when a man attacked people with a knife, ITV reports citing police.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The attack occurred late on Wednesday night in Russell Square. Terrorism is not ruled out.

A man was arrested by police following the attack.

​Police were called to the scene at around 22:33 local time (21:33 GMT) on Wednesday. The suspect was arrested at 22:39 local time.

​According to The Telegraph, the Metropolitan Police first said that up to six people were found injured at the site. The woman was pronounced dead some time after.
