MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The publication's investigation revealed that the passenger information had been unprotected for years, with criminals having access to people’s ticket information, names, addresses and even bank data. The newspaper noted that it was not necessary to have special technical skills to get access to personal data.

Aerticket is said to have gathered information not only from its clients but also from a number of online services that are not responsible for the security gaps.

The company quickly reacted to the newspaper’s report, fixing the problem several hours after the publication. It also said that the data were not misused by the criminals.
