    Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala said that more than 10,000 of the detainees are military personnel.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Over 15,000 people have been detained in Turkey in the wake of the mid-July failed military coup attempt, Turkish Interior Minister Efkan Ala said Wednesday.

    More than 10,000 of the detainees are military personnel, the minister said, as quoted by the CNN Turk channel, adding that 8,113 people were arrested on various charges.
