    Paris Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor to Take Over Church Hostage-Taking Investigation

    The French anti-terrorist prosecutor will take over the church hostage-taking investigation in the northern city of Rouen, the prosecution body said Tuesday.

    PARIS (Sputnik) – Two hostage takers at Saint-Etienne du Rouvray church were killed by police after killing a priest and injuring five other hostages in the Seine-Maritime commune, according to Interior Ministry spokesman Pierre-Henry Brandet. A second hostage was later reported to be in grave condition.

    The Elysee Palace announced that, in view of the gravity of the events, President Francois Hollande will arrive at the scene. French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve is also reportedly expected to arrive.
