Two more people have been put in detention over suspected links to the Nice terror attack, media reported Tuesday, citing a source close to the investigation.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the BFMTV broadcaster, the two men were a part of the attack perpetrator’s close circle. They were reportedly detained in south France.

“They were placed in custody while investigators try to determine whether Tunisian national Lahouaiej Bouhlel has benefited from [their] logistical support," the source told the BFMTV broadcaster.

On July 14, a truck driven by Bouhlel rammed into a large crowd celebrating Bastille Day in Nice. At least 84 people, including children, were killed and hundreds of others were injured of whom 12 remain in critical condition. Daesh (outlawed in Russia) claimed responsibility for the attack.
