Hollande's official barber, identified only as Olivier B, earns US$10,992 a month and has been ever since he tooled up the five-year contract when Hollande became France's President.

Weekly satirical newspaper Le Canard Enchaine quoted lawyer Sarah Levy who explained that the barber, Oliver B needs to be "available for the president 27/7" and apparently even missed the birth of his own children he's so dedicated.
To be fair, Hollande's barber does sound pretty busy, the newspaper claims he has to look after the president's hair "every morning and as many times as necessary, [and] ahead of every speech."
However, it's not the first time a certain French leader has been ousted by the press for their over the top preening.

According to the AFP news agency, former president Nicolas Sarkozy paid his make-up artist US$8,800 a month, becoming the first French leader to do so — and Hollande has apparently followed suit.
