MOSCOW(Sputnik) – Michael Gove has been dismissed from his position as the UK justice secretary, local media reported Thursday.

According to the Sky News television channel, Gove will play no role in the cabinet of newly-appointed Prime Minister Theresa May.

Gove was a key figure in the campaign backing the United Kingdom leaving the European Union and ran for the prime ministerial position.
