David Cameron is attending his last Prime Minister's Questions in the House of Commons in London.

David Cameron announced that he would resign as prime minister on June 26, after Britain voted in a referendum to leave the European Union.

Cameron says he wants to congratulate Theresa May on becoming prime minister. When it comes to women PMs, soon it will be 2-0 to the Conservatives. And not a pink bus in sight, he says.

Cameron said that UK is working hard to guarantee rights of EU citizens living in country to be respected after Brexit.

Asked by a lawmaker  whether EU citizens might have their right of residence revoked or be deported when UK leaves the EU, Cameron said there was "absolutely no chance of that happening."

Outgoing British PM has given advice to his successor:

David Cameron gets a round of applause. Tory MPs give him a standing ovation.

Cameron says as a backbencher he will be willing the Commons on. And politics is about achieving things. Nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.
