    An inflatable boat with migrants capsized near the Greek island of Lesbos resulting in the deaths of four people, including children, local media reported on Wednesday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) According to the Greek Reporter, the victims included a four-year-old girl, a boy, a man and a woman.

    The news outlet also reported, citing the Lesbos Coast Guard, that the incident occurred early in the morning to the east of the island and the search and rescue operation was underway in the area. A total of 11 people were reportedly on board.

    Greece is a transit country for hundreds of thousands refugees from the Middle East and North Africa, fleeing poverty and violence, with the isle of Lesbos in the Aegean being the main arrival point for them.
