EU Needs 'Full Spectrum' of Defense Capabilities to Respond to Crises

Full spectrum defence capabilities are necessary to respond to external crises and to guarantee Europe’s safety, according to the EU’s global foreign and security policy strategy.

BRUSSELS (Sputnik) – The European Union needs to invest in full in the defense of its member states to respond to foreign crises and guarantee European security, the EU’s global foreign and security policy strategy unveiled on Tuesday stated.

"Full spectrum defence capabilities are necessary to respond to external crises, build our partners’ capacities, and to guarantee Europe’s safety," the strategy reads.
