French Police Detain 2 Over Suspected Ties to Murder of Policeman in Paris

French police have detained two suspects in relation to the killing of a police officer and his wife in Paris, local media reported Tuesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Monday evening, a man stabbed a 42-year-old police commander and took hostage his wife and child in the Paris northwestern suburb of Magnanville. The attacker killed the commander's wife, but the child was rescued.

According to Le Figaro newspaper, the detainees are "relations" of assailant Larossi Abballa who was killed by riot police.
