PARIS (Sputnik) — The investigation into the murder of a police commander and his wife in Paris suburb should lead to new arrests, France's Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said Tuesday.
"The investigation continues, it should lead to new arrests," Cazeneuve said while visiting the police department where the murdered served.
The minister also promised to deal with the murderer's accomplices.
On Monday evening, a man stabbed a 42-year-old police commander and took hostage his wife and child in the Paris northwestern suburb of Magnanville. The attacker killed the commander's wife, but the child was rescued.
The murderer, identified as Larossi Abballa, was killed by riot police.
