Eighty-two of an estimated 3,500 private security guards hired for Euro-2016 appear in databases as potential terrorist threats, Le Point wrote citing counterintelligence sources on Monday.

According to the French Interior Ministry there will be around 85,000 members of security services, among them 42,000 police officers, 30,000 gendarmes and a number of military and civilian security agents providing security during the championship.

In a statement issued ahead of Euro 2016 UEFA prioritized measures to ensure the security of the players and spectators.

Euro 2016 will be held in France from June 10 through July 10.
