MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the Neue Osnabruecker Zeitung newspaper, BKA has studied 369 cases of alleged involvement of refugees in terrorist activity, while investigations have been opened in 40 cases since the beginning of refugee arrivals to the country.
BKA warned that terror threat in Germany and Europe remained high, and more attacks by Islamist terrorist cells could not be excluded.
Germany has become a key destination for the migrants fleeing war and poverty since the start of 2015. The country’s Interior Ministry estimates that Germany received around 1.1 million registered migrants last year alone, while about 500,000 undocumented migrants are currently staying in the country.
