German far-right party Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) approved an election manifesto that states that Islam is “not compatible” with the German constitution and calls for a ban on religious attributes.

AfD, the far-right party that scores a considerable 14% of nation-wide support, is present in half of Germany's regional state assemblies. While it is still not represented in the German federal parliament, it poses a challenge to Angela Merkel's CDU in the upcoming 2017 elections.

This Sunday, May 1st, the congress of 2,000 party delegates approved the election manifesto that, among other things, states that Islam is not compatible with the German constitution and that minarets and burqas should be banned completely.

According to Hans-Thomas Tillschneider, an AfD politician from the state of Saxony-Anhalt, "Islam is foreign to [Germans] and for that reason it cannot invoke the principle of religious freedom to the same degree as Christianity."

This is a stark contrast to Angela Merkel's stance that freedom of religion is universally guaranteed by the German constitution and that Islam is welcome in the country.

Tillschneider's statement received loud and vocal support, as such sentiments are apparently shared by the majority of the party members. While the idea of a softer approach has been proposed on the congress (Ernst-August Roettger proposed a "dialogue with local Muslim communities"), it was almost unanimously rejected.

The party that was founded three years ago had its popularity boosted by the recent migrant flow to Europe. According to statistics, Muslims make about 5% of the German population (about 4 million people). AfD is being criticized for its far-right anti-immigrant policy, with some officials have compared its attitude towards Muslims to that of Adolf Hitler's towards Jews — a particularly popular accusation in Germany, that has been attributed to Chancellor Merkel herself.

I feel sorry for Germany. This very industrious and wonderful country and it's lovely people have been playing along with US foreign policy and now are paying a price for it.I hope they can keep their way of life, culture, tradition and people intact from the Islamic invasion of their country.

      Theon Lyreal,

Does that mean that Judaism could be banned in Europe as well ? Without their ill gotten gains of course.

Theon Lyreal, what an astoundingly ignorant comment, and which just proves, you obviously know nothing of Islam!

Pentagonisabeast, I wonder who has been playing who in that scenario you comment on? Germany is the powerhouse of Europe which appears to take its direction from the U.S. but isn't Brussels the real driving force behind what Germany has been doing?

Again we see that the AfD - a political party concerned for the direction that Germany has been heading for over the last three decades - being tagged by media as being of the 'Far-Right' when the only thing on the far right of the political spectrum is Anarchy - no rule of Law!

From Anarchy and working left all political parties begin with Conservatives in the middle and Socialist parties to left of centre until reaching the far left which is then represented by totalitarian systems.

The AfD is gaining ground because people are waking up to the agenda of Islamic colonization and the complete eventual replacement of Christianity-Judaism moral and spiritual values that has been the West's driving force for nearly two thousand years.

If those who are concerned enough about Germany's direction to begin a new political party in order to counter what Vladimir Putin has stated is the 'suicide of the West' because they bothered to observe and to then learn what is plainly now occurring all around them, why are there still those who cannot or refuse to see this?

FlorianGeyer, Judaism won't have to be banned in Europe if what is now occurring reaches its objective because the Jews have been fleeing in droves due the rabid anti-Semitism now openly displayed throughout Europe.

I wonder if that makes you feel good?

terryjohnodgers, I know that Islam is a variant of Judaism. A heap of rubbish built on a pile of garbage.

terryjohnodgers, Judaism is the epitome of institutionalized racism.

dvdgrg09, You underestimate the danger if you do not see where this is going. Out right ban to the entire Western civilization is required. And nothing less. I am not promoting violence. Repat them, deport them, ban it's practice. I wish it was different. I wish the response could be more moderate, but it can not. This has to be done.
    • terryjohnodgersin reply to (Show commentHide comment)
Theon Lyreal, the epitome of institutionalized racism is within Islam and National Socialism. Anyone can become a Jew, regardless of race or color!

Your bigoted ignorance on these simple to investigate issues is simply astounding!

krissy199, maybe you could provide just one example of your comment? And I'll bet you cannot!

The Afd isn't going to ban Islam: all they are calling for is a roll back of the ridiculous levels of religious chauvinism and deviant thought that have thrived under political correctness and which have roots in the CIA-funded Operation Cyclone.
As for the accusations of far rightism, this is a bi-product of mass immigration which is meant to polarize German society and keep tensions on the boil to mask the EU's near collapse.
    • Aussie Pridein reply toAngus Gallagher(Show commentHide comment)
Angus Gallagher, I think the Afd are merely starting with the minor bans, and working their way up to the outright. If they went in too hard too fast the left would be screaming 'Nazi's'. It's how it's always done, by all sides. Mission creep.
    • Aussie Pride
It's no different to the way the muslims do it. Start small with gaining concessions. Then when you've got the numbers, out come the big guns. All people do it. Christ, look at what the left has done. Mission creep indeed. We've ended up so far left that the middle to right now looks hard right wing. We gave women a few concessions and it's full blown equal status now. Islam comes in and slowly the west is separating train carraiges for womens safety and separating swimming pool times. Mission creep, every time. Slow boiling frog. Oh and you can add LGBT to that list of examples too.

Aussie Pride, where I see the current situation going is a global irregular war by the bankers against those they perceive might threaten their global financial empire, using economic depression and/or inflation, sanctions and any other weapon they have, including a war disguised as a religious civil war, which is the one that bothers you. It appears that the only way to fight the bankers is to force them into bankruptcy, and that takes time. I think that is why Russia, China and other targets are stalling with diplomacy as far as they can take it. Something like a total ban on Islam only empowers the takfiri psychos, and they can and will begin blowing up car bombs and suicide bombs everywhere in the west if they can find safe places to hide among suppressed Muslims. Do you think the west can build a wall around itself? That would be the only way to keep Muslims out. It would not stop the bankers' war, which will continue until the bankers are in dungeons.

dvdgrg09, i've written a detailed reply 9 times and lost it. My computers on the blink, that's why my answers are always fast and not my full analysis. If i take too long it wipes out. Sorry. I appreciate your replies, they are very well thought out and i have a lot to add but i can't until i get my tool kit out and fix this computer. I've just spent an hour and a half replying to you and ..zip. Damn! I need a coffee. I'll come back in a bit. :)
