Plan B: This is How Refugees Keep Flooding Europe Despite EU-Turkey Deal
“There is a popular feeling of the occupation. People don’t know what is happening and why and try to find a simple solution. I don’t believe that the reality is exactly what this poll shows but the people feel this way and this is a very important political indication, it means that the majority of people believe that immigrants are the cause of the criminality and so on,” Chiesa said.

He further said that the question of security is becoming a right-wing question and the majority of the people in the streets believe that there should be more order and regulation regarding the current situation.

“If people think that immigrants are a source of disorder then the authoritarian rule and immigrants become strictly connected,” the journalist elaborated.

Talking about how to deal with the refugees Cheisa said, “They don’t know our society. The majority of those who are coming they are not criminals; they are simply coming to our society without knowing the rules. They very naively behave in the same way that they were accustomed to back in their countries. We are facing double difficulty. One is their difficulty to understand new rules and we cannot pretend that they understand them. Nobody teaches them the rules.”

Former German Chancellor: 'EU Can't Be New Home for Millions of Refugees'
“The European population in general is not prepared to receive a different civilization, different religion and way of thinking. There is some sort of intolerance from the side of the Europeans toward the refugee’s identity.”

He said that the current phenomenon is going to last for a long time. “What we are witnessing now is not a temporary situation. We will face a very long period of large influx of immigration. We, the Europeans, have created the commission for this development. We have created this with our state politicians and with the war that we waged in North Africa, Libya, Syria and Afghanistan.”

“It is not possible to stop them. They will arrive in any case and we have to prepare ourselves for a change of behavior of the Western society to a certain extent because we have a higher level of organization,” the journalist said.

He further spoke about how the Europeans need to come up with a separate organization that will deal with the integration of refugees into European society.

France as well as other European countries has seen an influx of migrants and refugees fleeing their home states mostly in the Middle East and North Africa to escape violence and poverty. More than a million migrants and refugees crossed into Europe only in 2015, creating division in the EU over how best to deal with resettling people.
