About 30 members of the right-wing Identitarian movement with banners reading "Multiculturalism kills" attacked a stage in Vienna while refugees were performing a play, according to local media.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At least eight people were injured during an attack by a group of about 30 members of the right-wing Identitarian movement on a stage in Vienna while refugees were performing a play, local media reported Friday.

According to the Austrian Die Presse newspaper, the incident took place late on Thursday at a University of Vienna lecture hall. The attackers stormed the stage with banners reading "Multiculturalism kills."

The intruders left the building after getting into a fight with the audience, in which eight people sustained injuries. The play continued after the interruption. The performers included refugees from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.

In late March, some 150 Identitarian members held a march in Austria’s second largest city of Graz and clashed with left-wing protesters.
