    Lavrov, Kerry Welcome Ceasefire in Nagorno-Karabakh - Foreign Ministry

    The Russian foreign minister and his US counterpart welcomed the ceasefire in Azerbaijan's breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry welcomed on Sunday the ceasefire in Azerbaijan's breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

    "The Russian Foreign Minister and the US Secretary of State welcomed the reached ceasefire agreement in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and agreed to contribute to the normalization of the situation in the region," the statement said.
