VIENNA (Sputnik) – The current spark of violating the ceasefire agreement in eastern Ukraine, which is the highest since September 2015, is a precursor to a possibly more widespread outbreak of clashes between the conflicting parties, Russian Envoy to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Alexander Lukashevich said Friday.
“The current spark in military activity in the conflict zone is no longer sporadic violations of the ceasefire that were to stop at the end of last year and move onto the stage of political negotiations, which has not happened, and this is already a precursor to possibly more widespread clashes along the line of contact,” Lukashevich said during a live video uplink.
