MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A family member of one of the victims of recent Brussels suicide blasts intends to sue the international airport in Zaventem for gross negligence in protecting passengers, local media reported.
"Many questions remain unanswered. We know nothing… The Belgians killed my sister! I'm going to fight against it," Rasco Weah, the brother of 41-year-old Elita, who had died in the attacks, told the Dutch NRC broadcaster in an interview.
Weah, along with family members of other Dutch victims, is considering filing a joint legal complaint against the Brussels Airport.
On March 22, two suicide blasts ripped through the departures hall of the airport in the northeastern municipality of Zaventem while another explosion hit the Maelbeek metro station near the headquarters of the EU institutions killing over 30 people and injuring at least 300.
Last week, the Zaventem airport police said there were at least 50 sympathizers of the Islamic State (ISIL or Daesh, banned in Russia) jihadist group working at the airport with security badges to enter into the cockpit of a plane.
