BAKU (Sputnik) — Azerbaijan seeks a peaceful settlement for the reescalated conflict in the breakaway Nagorno-Karabakh region, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said, local media reported Sunday.
"We support a constructive approach to this problem. I have repeatedly said that Azerbaijan does not want war, but we demand justice and we demand our rights. We want a peaceful settlement of the conflict," Aliyev said during a meeting of Azerbaijan's presidential Security Council, as quoted by state television.
