Survey Says French People Want Dialogue With Assad

French website VoteDeJour (Vote of the day) launched a poll asking "Should France negotiate with Bashar al-Assad?"

At least 73 per cent of respondents (at the moment this article was written) believe France should negotiate with current Syrian government. Only 27 per cent think the opposite.

Over 2,000 people took part in the poll.

The poll was launched following the visit of the French delegation to Damascus which sparked a huge debate on the Internet.

A group of French lawmakers visited Damascus on Sunday to meet with the Syrian President and see how things are unfolding in the war-torn country.

Rochedy, the former leader of Front National's (FN) youth wing, was among the French delegation and during a meeting with the Syrian president he snapped a cool selfie with al-Assad, which later went viral online.
