BRUSSELS (Sputnik) – On Thursday, French police arrested in Argenteuil, France, Reda Kriket who had previously been sentenced in absentia in Belgium for ties with terrorists.
The raids were carried out in Brussels earlier in the day in relation to Kriket’s arrest. Three people were detained, two of whom were wounded in their legs, according to a communique released by the prosecution.
On Tuesday, two suicide blasts hit the departures hall of Brussels' Zaventem international airport and an explosion shook a subway carriage at the Maelbeek station, close to the EU institutions. Daesh terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attacks.
The deadly terror attacks in Brussels on Tuesday claimed the lives of at least 32 people and injured over 300.
