The heads of the Foreign ministries of Belgium and France have agreed to increase counterterrorism cooperation amid recent events.

PARIS (Sputnik) — The foreign ministers of Belgium and France, Didier Reynders and Jean-Marc Ayrault, have agreed to increase counterterrorism cooperation in light of Tuesday's attacks in Brussels, Ayrault said in a statement.

"Me and my Belgian colleague noted an urgent need to further increase the coordination of our anti-terrorism efforts," the statement reads.
