TBILISI (Sputnik) – Georgia’s deputy prime minister and energy minister said Monday he believed the ruling Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia coalition would collapse after this year’s legislative elections.
"Sooner or later it will happen and the coalition will fall apart. This is nothing tragic, but I don’t envision this risk in the nearest future and think that the coalition will appear in the elections under the current composition," Kakha Kaladze told reporters.
The coalition, which came into power in 2012, has been actively rumored to split up in Georgian media after news emerged of infighting among local parties.
The next Georgian parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held in the fall of 2016.
