On Wednesday, Ukraine's Economic Development and Trade Minister Aivaras Abromavicius, a former Lithuanian national, said he had tendered his resignation in protest at government corruption and political pressure.

Abromavicius was followed on Thursday by Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko, Information Policy Minister Yurii Stets, Healthcare Minister Alexander Kvitashvili, and Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pyvovarskyi.

The four later said they had recalled their resignations, although the agricultural and infrastructure chiefs named several preconditions for their return. Abromavicius said he would not negotiate his exit.
