Sweden's Göteborg Landvetter Airport has been closed after a plane made an emergency landing over a bomb threat on Friday, local media reported.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) —Earlier in the day, local media reported that a Swedavia plane, carrying 72 people, en route from London to Stockholm, made an emergency landing at the airport because of a bomb threat.

"There is a plane that has arrived at Landvetter due to a bomb threat. The plane has landed and parked away from the terminal. That is [all] the information I have got," Asa Oehman, Swedavia's spokesperson was quoted as saying by the Aftonbladet newspaper.

"We are all safe and have come off the plane, a lot of praise for the pilot and crew, who constantly kept calm," one of the plane's passengers wrote on Twitter.

Earlier this month, Sweden's Stockholm Skavsta Airport was briefly evacuated after traces of an explosive substance were found in a bag. The departure hall and baggage claim area were cordoned off, but later reopened as no threat was confirmed.

Shortly after that, a Swedish shopping center in the city of Vasteras, some 80 miles from Stockholm, was briefly evacuated over an alleged bomb threat in an IKEA store.
