DAVOS (Sputnik) – Earlier on Thursday, Poroshenko told Tsipras that he was hoping to meet with him during the forum.
The Geneva-based World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting is traditionally held between late January and early February in Davos. The Swiss town is the venue for discussion of the most acute political and economic issues by representatives of dozens of countries.
Prior to the forum, it was announced that Poroshenko would meet with the officials from the International Monetary Fund, including its head Christine Lagarde, US Vice President Joe Biden and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu.
