Protesters Storm UK Conservatives HQ to Stop Ankara Anti-Kurdish Actions
17:36 GMT 05.01.2016 (Updated: 17:41 GMT 05.01.2016) Kurdish activists on Tuesday stormed the UK Conservative party’s headquarters in London protesting against civilians’ suffering amid fighting between Ankara forces and Kurdish militants in southeastern Turkey, local media reported, citing police.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The activists urged the British government to persuade Ankara to stop its attacks on the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) militant group, outlawed in Turkey, The Guardian newspaper reported, citing a spokesman for the protesters.

According to the outlet, police confirmed that protesters had broken into the building, situated near the Palace of Westminster. Police reportedly arrived at the scene around 2pm (14:00 GMT).
Turkey's Kurdish-dominated southeast region has recently seen renewed violence between the Turkish government forces and the PKK since mid-summer breakdown of a two-year ceasefire.
In July, Ankara initiated a military operation against the PKK in response to the escalation of terrorist attacks in southern Turkey.
