French Prime Minister Manuel Valls presented on Wednesday a draft bill on constitutional reforms to protect France amid recent terror attacks.

PARIS (Sputnik) — A series of security measures follow the deadly November 13 attacks in Paris that claimed lives of 130 people.

"The threats have never been so serious. We have to face a war situation – a war against terrorism, jihadism, a war against radical Islam," Valls said during a press conference.

The draft reforms include introducing a state of emergency in the French constitution to act more quickly to verify the possible involvement of people in terrorism. Currently, the country’s constitution does not outline in which circumstances a state of emergency can be declared and what measures can be taken.

The French cabinet has also agreed to maintain its decision to strip off citizenship of dual-nationality citizens who are convicted of terror acts as part of security reforms.

France has recently beefed up security and started active nationwide searches for Islamist jihadists and terror acts' masterminds.
