MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "ASLEF drivers at Arriva Trains Wales have voted overwhelmingly for strike action after management reneged on an agreement we had reached. 81.7% of our members voted Yes, and 18.3% voted No, on a turnout of just over 80%, " the union said in a statement on its website.
The union members will also refuse to work overtime from December 28.
In November, the ATW drivers planned a 48-hour strike, but eventually suspended it as the company and the drivers reportedly reached "important progress in last minute talks."
Then, the company said it had offered a more beneficial pay deal and the reduction of the maximum working day.
