    Police have used water cannons in the German city of Leipzig to disperse neo-Nazi protesters and their opponents, local media reported Saturday.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to Der Spiegel magazine, the police were forced to take the measure after demonstrators started throwing stones at police.

    Several people have reportedly been injured during the riots.

    ​The DPA news agency reported earlier in the day that the right-wing riots in Suedvorstadt and Connewitz parts of Leipzig erupted in the afternoon and the protesters have claimed to carry out another ten rallies.
