BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — France will maintain control over its borders as long as the terrorist threat requires such measures, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said Friday.
"As for the internal borders of the [European] Union, I announced today very clear to my colleagues and will repeat it to you that France will maintain border control, introduced last Friday, as long as the terrorist threat requires it," Cazeneuve said after an extraordinary meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs' ministers.
On November 13, a series of coordinated terrorist attacks were carried out across Paris, killing 130 people and injuring over 350.
