Hacktivist group Anonymous has told Sputnik that a recent YouTube video released by the group declaring cyber warfare on Islamic State terrorists is not from them.

The validity of the video showing a masked character claiming to be a member of the Anonymous group and threatening to "hunt down" the terrorists and launch cyber-attacks was questioned by French newspaper, La Tribune.

Anonymous Operations France told Sputnik that the validity of the video was right to be questioned by the newspaper."The video of AnonOps IRC network is here."

It’s since been reported that more than 900 social media sites sympathizing with the terrorist organization have been suspended after being published by Anonymous.

The recent terror attack in Paris killed 129 people.
