"The report about MH17 will be released on Tuesday, 13 October, 2015," the Dutch Safety Board told Sputnik in an e-mailed letter.
Over the weekend, the head of Ukraine’s Main Investigative Department, Grigory Ostafiychuk, said Ukraine was informed the final report of the MH17 investigation would be released in February of next year.
Dutch Safety Board’s spokesman Toon van Wijk separately confirmed the release date to Sputnik over the phone.
"The reports will be published by the Dutch Safety Board about the causes of the crash. That will be published tomorrow," he said.
Flight MH17 crashed while flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur over the eastern Ukrainian region of Donetsk on July 17, 2014. All 298 people on board, mostly Dutch citizens, perished in the accident.
In its preliminary report last fall, the Board claimed that the Malaysian Boeing had broken up in mid-air from structural damage caused by a large number of high-energy objects.
